We are seeking support through grants in the following areas:
- Environmental Grants: Funding for technology, education programs, and park revitalization, especially around sustainability and eco-focused innovations.
- Art Grants: Support for community-driven art installations, including eco-friendly art created from recycled materials, funding for “Story Walks” or other art-based activities, and support for Native/Indigenous art projects that reflect the cultural heritage of the area.
- Educational Grants: Funding for nature-based educational programs, environmental awareness workshops, and collaboration with Indigenous groups to integrate traditional ecological knowledge.
- Technology and Innovation Grants: For testing new eco-focused solutions and advancing technology integration within the park.
Partnership and Cooperation Needs
We are seeking partnerships and collaborations with the following:
- Local Organizations: Including partnerships with groups like York Region Food Network, Reena, and other local community organizations to expand educational programs and increase community engagement.
- Educational Institutions: Collaboration with local schools and universities to develop and implement hands-on learning opportunities for students.
- Artistic Collaboration: Working with local artists and art organizations to create eco-friendly art installations and facilitate public art events like “Story Walks.”
- Indigenous Groups: Partnering with Indigenous communities to share and integrate traditional ecological knowledge into the park’s design and programming.
- Tech Companies: Partnering with technology companies to test and implement eco-focused innovations and sustainability solutions within the park.
